2026 Summer Promise Scholarship Application.

The Summer Promise application is only intended for current Promise Scholarship recipients wanting to utilize a Promise award during the 2026 summer term(s). Once your application is complete, you will receive a confirmation page/email. To edit or change an application on file, contact our office 304.558.4618 or Promise@wvhepc.edu.

Summer awards are dependent upon the availability of funding. Should there be limited funding for summer assistance, priority for summer awards will be based on class rank, with the highest priority given to students closest to graduation.

Summer Promise Requirements

To qualify for a Summer Promise award you must meet the requirements for renewal at the end of the spring 2026 term. Renewal requirements include:

A 2.75 cumulative gpa.
A minimum of 30 credit hours in each 12-month period for a two-semester award; 15 credits for a one-semester award.

I am aware of the academic requirements for Summer Promise eligibility.

A summer award counts as a semester of scholarship utilization toward the maximum number of available semesters.

A student seeking a bachelor's degree is eligible to receive a Promise Scholarship for no more than eight semesters of a four-year degree program.
A student seeking an associate degree is eligible to receive a Promise Scholarship for no more than four total semesters of a two-year degree program.

If I receive a Summer Promise award, I am aware it will count as one of my semesters of eligibility.
